For over the last 50 years, United Jewish Federation has made an impact by supporting and uplifting the people of Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, and across Fairfield County. This work would not be possible without the members of our community who contribute their time to make our home a better place.

Below are some of the ways we empower our community to help others through volunteer work with UJF.

Reading Partners pairs volunteer tutors with elementary school students to help improve their reading skills. This program supports children's literacy development and academic success, making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Dignity Grows provides essential personal and menstrual hygiene products to women, girls, and individuals assigned female at birth, helping them continue their daily lives without interruption due to lack of resources. Volunteers meet monthly to pack and distribute Dignity Grows Totes, supporting those in need and embodying Jewish values of Tzedakah and Tikkun Olam.

3 SQUARE addresses child hunger by providing weekend food bags to elementary school-aged children in Fairfield County who rely on school meals during the week. Volunteers shop, pack, and deliver these discreet food bags to schools, ensuring that children in need have enough to eat over the weekend.
