Reading Partners is a program that pairs volunteer reading tutors with children in grades K-3 at local Fairfield County public schools and community centers.
As part of the Federation-supported Herbert and Sarah M. Gibor Reading Partners program, volunteers devote a minimum of 1 hour per week during the school year, to help children boost their reading skills. Each session is overseen by a Team Leader, and our volunteer tutors are equipped with ongoing training, literacy-based workshops, an extensive leadership support network, and regular program newsletters.
No professional educational experience or tutoring background is required. All that’s needed is a love of children and desire to nurture their curious young minds one-on-one.
