Building on a tradition of meaningful connection and vibrant community, United Jewish Federation’s (UJF’s) Women’s Philanthropy is proud to continue its new Salon series. These smaller, more intimate gatherings are designed to bring women together in meaningful ways, fostering friendship, creativity, and shared purpose while uplifting the values of chesed (kindness) and tikkun olam (repairing the world).
The first Women’s Philanthropy Salon, held this summer, was a tremendous success. Women from across Stamford, New Canaan, and Darien gathered in a welcoming home to hear from inspiring female leaders and engage in thoughtful conversation. The positive energy and connections that emerged that evening laid the groundwork for an exciting new chapter for Women’s Philanthropy.
The next Salon evening will take place on Monday, October 28, at 7:00 pm at a private home. This special program will feature artist Sara Joy, whose work brings Jewish heritage to life through vibrant, meaningful Judaica art. From custom ritual objects to commissioned pieces that honor tradition, her creations transform homes and communities with intentional joy, color, and thoughtful detail. Joy’s art not only decorates but tells stories, sparks conversation, and celebrates the richness of Jewish life, making each piece a treasured part of the spaces it inhabits. Sara Joy will guide participants in a hands-on craft activity, offering an engaging and joyful way to explore Jewish culture together.
The creation of the Salon series represents a thoughtful effort to innovate Women’s Philanthropy programming, offering a fresh format that emphasizes connectedness, and meaningful engagement. By reimagining traditional gatherings, the organization has crafted a space where women can connect deeply, explore their creativity, and be inspired in new ways.
In addition to the artistic experience, the evening will provide women with the opportunity to connect more personally with one another in a relaxed, intimate setting. Like all Women’s Philanthropy programs, this Salon is designed not only to inspire but also to strengthen the fabric of the community, encouraging women to share in community, support one another, and create a lasting impact.
