The Jewish holidays are a time to gather, and two micro-communities—North Stamford and Shippan—came together to usher in the New Year.
In North Stamford, a pre-Rosh Hashanah honey tasting brought neighbors together to welcome a sweet year ahead. The gathering, hosted by Ariel Bedik, Tova Reich, and Wendy Siegel, featured locally sourced honey from Shira Burstein and Becky Kevelson.
Meanwhile, in Shippan, the community celebrated at a festive event hosted by Marilyn and Harry Soffer, Monica and Michael Schlessinger, Lauren and Josh Esses, and Elina Furman and Jay Landauer.
Across both neighborhoods, meeting new neighbors and strengthening connections remains a highlight of the Jewish holiday season. These gatherings reflect the important role United Jewish Federation plays in bringing people together to build community, celebrate traditions, and create moments of unity.
