In celebration of Tu B’Av, the holiday of Love, UJF’s Woman’s Philanthropy brought together over 35 women of all ages for the first “Salon” type evening.
Guest speakers and entrepreneurs, Liliach Porges and Elina Furman shared their passion and joy, showcasing their creative spirit and embracing love in all that they do. Porges is an Israeli fashion designer and the founder and creative director of Procode Dress. Her work centers around developing innovative methods for 3D printed garments with robotic arms, exploring architectonic shapes with the ambition to bring the worlds of science, engineering, and fashion together to empower women.
Furman is the founder of Ora Magazine and Kahlimi, which is the first baby massager and wellness brand for families. Her work as a baby massage product inventor has won her awards from the Juvenile Product Manufacturing Association, the Baby Innovation Awards, and a Best of Seal from Pampers.
Participants met new community members while mingling over light bites and drinks. The next Salon will be held on October 28. To learn more and to help shape future events, contact Jillian Moore Jillian@ujf.org
