Community Apple Picking Returns

Back by popular demand! After last year’s joyful turnout, the community apple picking event is returning to Silverman’s Farm in Easton on Sunday, September 14 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm - just in time to get into the Rosh Hashanah spirit.

Hosted by United Jewish Federation’s (UJF) NextGen and PJ Library programs, in partnership with community organizations, this family-friendly event is open to the entire community.

Attendees will enjoy tractor rides, free farm admission for the family, and apple cider donuts. And in the spirit of giving, the Schoke Jewish Family Service truck will be on-site to collect apple donations for those in need ahead of the holiday, adding a meaningful mitzvah (good deed) to the day.

“This is such a fun and meaningful way to welcome the New Year,” says Melanie Vorm of UJF. “We’re excited to bring everyone together again for a morning of connection, community, and sweetness.”

While registration is free, participants will be required to purchase their own bags for apple picking at the farm. Pre-sign-up is required for security purposes. RSVP now at www.ujf.org/apples.
