It was the perfect night to honor the past and look ahead to a bright future with United Jewish Fedreation.
Look back on Federation's Fabulous Fifty Gala at Temple Beth El in Stamford on Thursday, September 7, as a sellout crowd of over 260 community members, family members, and friends gathered to honor the leadership and contributions of two wonderful women, Sheila L. Romanowitz and Edith Samers, who now hold the titles Executive Directors Emeritus.Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons also attended the celebration and presented the community with a proclamation announcing that September 7, 2023 was United Jewish Federation Day.
If you were unable to attend the gala, you can watch the video highlighting 50 years of United Jewish Federation, a monatage with a few photos from over the years, and also a video featuring families from UJF's NEXTGen as Federation continues to inspire the Jewish future for years to come.
Thank you to the Jewish Historical Society of Fairfield County for being a research resource, Carl Rosen (narrator of "50 Years of UJF" video), Matthew Greif (producer), Aviva and Michael Maller (photography/interviews for UJF's NEXTGen video), Wendell Maxey (research), Sharon Lewis (script/research), Diane Sloyer (research), and the entire UJF community over the years who helped inspire the making of this film chronicling 50 Years of United Jewish Federation.
A very special thanks also to Aviva Maller for all of her efforts and energy in bringing Federation's Fabulous Fifty to life at Temple Beth El. It was a historic and special night. Enjoy the photos from the gala courtesy of Aviva Maller Photography, as we look forward to another 50 Years of United Jewish Federation.
