The Teen Mitzvah Corps will be facilitated by Temple Beth El and open to all high school and middle school age Jewish teens in the Greater Stamford area.  Teens will engage in social justice and community action in a Jewish context.

Teen participants will brainstorm and choose social justice/action categories and projects they would like to implement. The Youth Professional will work with local clergy and community leaders to provide an educational component for teens to learn about the category and its importance to the Jewish community and/or Jewish values. Following each project, there will be a session in person or online with teens to debrief and evaluate the projects.

Possible Categories or areas of focus include but are not limited to: Racism, Anti-Semitism, Economic Justice, Environmental Justice, Education, Immigration and Refugees, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Aging in the USA, etc.
