PJ Library, an award-winning book program that celebrates Jewish values and culture for families with children 6 months through 8 years old has been part of the Stamford Federation for over 10 Years.  The books are sent home monthly free of charge to all, thanks to the generosity of two donors, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and United Jewish Federation.

In addition, PJ Ourway enables pre-teens 9-11 years old to receive monthly free book that they chose based on interests creating a totally tailored experience based their own interests and reading level.

PJ Library books can bring Jewish ideas and inspiration for you and your children to share together. Most programs are free or have a minimal fee and all serve as a connector for families with young children to the Jewish community. Often partnering with area institutions, PJ Library is a barrier free opportunity for families to connect. Programs are planned by a parent steering committee.

While PJ Library’s main focus has always been children, parents will also receive some information. It may be inside your child’s PJ Library envelope or in separate mailings or online. This content is designed for parents, because it isn’t always easy to raise a child focusing on Jewish values, and the information is there to help you feel comfortable talking to your kids about the kinds of things they’re reading about in their PJ Library books.
