Affinity groups connect legal, business and medical professionals in fields through networking and social programming. Making personal connections to like-minded professionals at Affinity networking events can be invaluable to your professional life.  Also available are social and philanthropic programs geared to 25 to 45-year-old singles and/or couples in the community with UJF’s NextGen group.  Chapter Two is geared toward "empty nest" women.

Cardozo:  The Cardozo Society provides educational, leadership, and networking opportunities for those in the legal community, including lawyers, professors and judges. Programs are held two to three times a year and feature a speaker or a panel discussion on a relevant and trending legal topic, with CLE credits available at each event. Past program topics included Immigration, BDS and Legal Ethics.

Rothchild: The Rothschild Society is an affinity group offering educational, leadership and networking opportunities for professionals in the business world. The group is made up of entrepreneurs, accountants, business owners, retailers, insurance agents, marketing professionals, those in the tech field, and many more. Programs are held several times a year, and past programs included panel discussions on Entrepreneurship, Israeli startups and the Gig Economy.

Maimonides:  The Maimonides Society is a place for Jewish healthcare professionals to meet for educational and social programs.  Events are held several times a year, and allow those in the medical field to connect and network. In the past, members have attended panel discussions about genetics and medical/dental field hospitals.

NextGen: NextGen connects Jewish adults ages 25 to 45 to each other and the community through fun social events as well as volunteer, leadership, and philanthropic activities. Those involved become part of a network that impacts our local Jewish community, helps support our broader community, and cares for the global Jewish world.

Chapter Two: "Women Who Can” is a new and fresh take on bringing women into and engaging them with Women's Philanthropy. The program is designed to engage members of our community and educate them regarding Federation and our local partner agencies as well as create a unique bond between the participants.

At UJF of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien, we have been building upon our Federation’s motto of “Better Together” through the creation of several new affinity groups. We believe that the “Chapter Two: Women Who Can” group will similarly enhance our goal of achieving a stronger and more connected Jewish community.
