UJF’s Maimonides Society presents Robert Lefkowitz, MD, the cardiologist turned legendary scientist and winner of the Nobel Prize in 2012. The program will be held on Wednesday, October 13th at 7pm, and will feature a lecture and interactive discussion on his book A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Stockholm.
Dr. Lefkowitz is an American physician and biochemist. He is best known for his groundbreaking discoveries that reveal the inner workings of an important family G protein-coupled receptors. Trained at Columbia University, the NIH, and Harvard before he joined the faculty of Duke University and becoming an investigator for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
