The Jewish Education and Engagement Project (J.E.E.P) offers exciting adult Jewish learning classes in partnership with area community organizations. The program offers a high quality of Jewish learning with variety of mini-courses and seminars (evening and daytime) from September through June. The sessions are taught with the best faculty in town and are intellectually stimulating and pluralistic in nature. Hebrew Mamita performing in Stamford, CT
On September 12th, New Yorker Vanessa Hidary, also known as the “Hebrew Mamita,” will give two different performances at the Stamford JCC, sponsored by Kulanu and the JCC co-sponsored by area youth groups co-sponsored by the Jewish Education & Engagement Project, the JCC, Young Leadership Division, and Jewish Twenties and Thirties.
The 8:30-9:30 p.m. show for adults will be her more traditional “Hebrew Mamita” spoken word and rap-style verse performance. There wiill be a cocktail reception prior to Hidary’s show for those under 45 from 7:30 - 8:30 pm. Prior to Hidary's performance local commedian Robbie Bernstein will warm up the crowd. Tapestry, a program of the Jewish Education and Engagmenet Project (J.E.E.P) and the JCC, is a community celebration of adult Jewish learning held annually in November. This year the program will take place on November 17th.
